ST. LOUIS OVERVIEW

Natives know that St. Louis is a city of secrets and surprises. You'll find almost anything you're looking for - entertainment, the arts, professional sports, recreation, educational resources. St. Louis is a city of neighborhoods and communities, each with its own unique identity and offerings, each with its own heritage.

Like most large cities, St. Louis real estate choices include luxury condominiums, town homes, villas and urban lofts within close walking or driving distance of the area's most popular restaurants and attractions. But that's not all - you can find luxury homes, old historic homes and new home construction throughout the region.

We're one of the few cities in the U.S. where luxury living is both convenient and affordable. In fact, the low cost of living - St. Louis consistently ranks among the lowest of the 25 largest metropolitan areas in the country - translates to a high quality of life for St. Louis residents. You'll find a surprising number of Fortune 500 companies headquartered here, along with a diverse economic base.

St. Louis is a friendly city with a Midwestern pace of life. An excellent highway system ensures easy access to almost any destination within 30 minutes. Downtown St. Louis, a major business hub, is home to St. Louis Cardinals baseball, St. Louis Rams football and St. Louis Blues hockey.

Many of the area's cultural institutions are located in Forest Park, at the western edge of the city limits. Nationally recognized Saint Louis Art Museum, Saint Louis Science Center, Saint Louis Zoo and the Missouri Historical Society are located in architecturally significant buildings build around the 1904 World's Fair in Forest Park. St. Louis County, the larger part of the St. Louis metropolitan area, offers much in the way of business, culture and residential communities.

St. Louis has many excellent educational resources - public, private and parochial - at all levels. Good health care is another of St. Louis' assets that contributes to the high quality of life.

Whatever your needs, you'll find what you're looking for in St. Louis. It's a great place to live.
