St. Louis native Kathleen Walbaum brings an impressive four decades of healthcare and administrative experience to her residential real estate practice. "As a nurse, and later as a healthcare professional, I learned how to work with people, and I quickly realized the importance of following-up, as well as the value of attention-to-detail," says Kathleen. She continues, "One of the things I love about real estate is the one-on-one connection with people: this is crucial as I help guide clients through the process of buying or selling a home. Our homes are such an important part of who we are, and helping clients find the perfect home is very rewarding."
As a Realtor with Janet McAfee Real Estate, Kathleen loves the exciting, ever-changing nature of the real estate market, and she enjoys having her finger on the pulse of the market both in the Central Corridor and nationally. Always interested in people, Kathleen finds the unique back-stories of her buyers not only fascinating but helpful as she searches for the right neighborhood and the right home. She also has personal experience with key resources for her sellers to call on when it’s time to list their home for sale.
Since joining Janet McAfee, Kathleen has accumulated experience in a number of locations and price ranges. She takes pride in having worked in communities ranging from Tower Grove to Wildwood, completing deals of $100,000 to almost $1 million. Kathleen particularly enjoys working with first-time homebuyers and providing valuable experience to those in need of steady guidance. She finds fulfillment in a client’s appreciation, whether they are buying a cozy starter house or making their dream home a reality.
Kathleen is a graduate of St. Louis Municipal School of Nursing and Webster University with a Bachelor’s degree in management. She and her husband are residents of Glendale. Kathleen’s two sons grew up in Kirkwood and are both married and reside in the St. Louis area.
