May Brown Reay received her real estate license in 1981 and for the past 31 years, she has experienced the enormous ups and downs of the real estate market. In her first years at Edward L. Bakewell, she represented the seller of one of the first $1,000,000 houses in the St. Louis area, and she recently represented the buyer of the largest condominium sale at Janet McAfee. 

May feels that giving back to the community is fundamental to her success. A strong, vibrant city creates a healthy economic climate for businesses to grow, and the housing market to flourish. She has served on the Boards of Laumeier Sculpture Park, St. Louis Public Library, and the Missouri Historical Society. May has also been the retail consultant for the St. Louis United Nations, the Missouri Botanical Garden, the Contemporary, and the St. Louis Zoo. Furthermore, she has designed benefits for the St. Louis Science Center, Circus Flora, the St. Louis Art Museum, and the St. Louis Beacon. May currently serves on the National Board of the Garden Club of America.

Two years ago, she co-listed a house with Mary Desloge. During this association, they both realized that having a partner was so beneficial to their client as one was always available, I's were dotted and T's crossed. Two brains brought better results and it was wonderful working with someone whose values were the same. They made their partnership permanent ... the M&M team at McAfee. 

With May's 31 years of experience and Mary's 16 years in real estate, they know their city and they know the current real estate market.
